Happenstance Haunts ghost tours and investigations are a great opportunity to enjoy time with friends and family while doing something out of the ordinary and maybe even out of your comfort zone. Our team has grown up with a love and respect of the paranormal, and we fully believe that the living can interact with those who have departed the physical realm. It is absolutely okay if you are a skeptic, you should be! We just ask that you join us with an open mind and that you act respectfully. We reserve the right to ask any guests who are behaving rudely or inappropriately to leave without a refund.

  • Do your tours operate in inclement weather?

Yes, a little rain won't shut us down! However, in the event there are torrential downpours and lightening or a tornado warning in effect, we will need to reschedule the tour.

  • How should I dress for a tour or investigation?

Dress comfortably and plan for weather! We know our ghost tours make for a perfect date night activity, but do make sure you have a pair of comfortable shoes to change into, if needed, for walking and possibly climbing stairs. For an investigation, it might be a good idea to dress in layers. Depending on the season, it may get warm or chilly in some of the locations we'll be visiting or investigating.

  • Are your tours accessible?

We will do our best to make our tours as accessible as possible, however we can not guarantee full accessibility as we will be covering a large area of downtown Monroe including grassy cemeteries and old buildings with stairs, etc. Please call us if you have any questions about a tour's accessibility and we would be happy to talk to you about what you can expect.

  • Where should I park?

Downtown Monroe has multiple areas where you can park for free! Please click here for a parking map.

  • Are food and drinks permitted?

Sure, you're welcome to bring a snack, just please be sure to dispose of trash appropriately. Downtown Monroe even permits open container, but you MUST use a specialty plastic cup provided by local businesses. If you choose to partake in an adult beverage, we do ask that you act responsibly and respectfully. If you are unable to do so, we will request that you leave the tour and you will not be offered a refund.

  • Can I bring my dog on a ghost tour?

We adore dogs, but unless it is a service animal, pets are not allowed on our tours. Let us know if you would be interested in a dog-friendly tour, though, as it's something we would love to consider adding to our services if we have enough demand!

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We do not accept cancellations, but if you contact us within 24 hours of your tour or investigation, we will gladly reschedule you for an alternate date or time. If you are a no show, then we will not be able to offer you a refund.

  • Do I have to book a tour online and prepay?

We do ask that all guests book and prepay online. If a tour has not reached full capacity, then walk-ups may be taken on a first come first served basis.
